Daniel Mohr summarizes the recent Clothing Swap and Potluck, and outlines upcoming Young Adult plans.

Our Clothing Swap and Potluck on Saturday 20 April was a fun and successful event. A total of eleven tables were covered in clothing as the ESUMC Young Adults - in conjunction with the Fünfhaus Gemeinde and local community members – hosted this event, as part of ESUMC's commitment to Creation Care. Visitors came from as far away as the 2nd District of Vienna to see what clothing items and delicious treats were up for grabs on a cold, rainy April afternoon.

Community members gathered to share a meal, discuss questionable fashion choices by friends and family, and spend time with one another and grow in communion. Apple pies, cinnamon rolls, and mashed potatoes nourished the group and everyone in attendance walked away with at least one new addition to their wardrobe.

Much of the remaining clothing has been stored for future distribution at next season's Wärmestube ministry, with other items being donated via Vienna's MA 48 used goods market.

We thank all persons who participated in this gathering! Stay tuned for more news of upcoming events to be sponsored by the ESUMC Young Adults group.
